This week youth learned about the importance of helping other people, promoting equality, reducing hunger and poverty, taking personal responsibility, and standing up for your beliefs.  We put these values into practice through the activities that we completed both days of program such as when we carefully tossed the egg in order not to break it’s shell, and talking about Heinz’s moral dilemma. In addition, youth also got the chance to use their carpentry skills to build birdhouses, use their gardening skills to weed, plant, and spread mulch, use their cooking skills to follow recipes and create healthy and nutritious treats, and use their creative skills to decorate mugs and make nametags for doors.
